The Charting an Equitable Path for Internationally Educated Professionals Project is a joint venture between the Lassonde School of Engineering and the Association of Ontario Land Surveyors (AOLS). The Project is sponsored by the Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration. The project is striving to make the process of becoming a Cadastral Surveyor more efficient, equitable and to improve accessibility for Internationally Educated Professionals (IEP) by focusing on Recognizing Prior Learning, competency attainment and making access to courses easier.
The project has worked hard to create an e-learning classroom for Blended Course Delivery that allows students and professors to interact in classroom and online thus ensuring participation in learning from virtually anywhere. Identifying resources to support ESL and SSL learning of IEP Candidates is an important part of the project as we strive to ensure that IEP candidates are successful when they pursue courses at York University and later within their careers. Language supports have been identified and are available to assist candidates in meeting the language requirements set out by the University and required by the profession.
Part of the support offered to AOLS Candidates a Charting a Path One Stop Support Program has been developed to help individuals navigate through the application and enrollment process at York University.
